OpenAI

Sebastien Bubeck has joined OpenAI from Microsoft, where he most recently served as Vice President of AI. He was at Microsoft for over ten years, first joining the Theory Group as a researcher. Before Microsoft, Bubeck was an assistant professor at Princeton University.

Lime

Lime, a transportation company for e-bike and e-scooter sharing, has hired Jon Jenkins as their new Chief Technology Officer. Jenkins was previously at Amazon as Vice President of Just Walk Out, their checkout-free shopping technology implemented at the company’s grocery stores. He has also served in engineering leadership positions at Hestan Smart Cooking and Pinterest.

Expedia

Ramana Thumu joins Expedia as their Chief Technology Officer following his departure from Fanatics. He will be working closely with CEO Ariane Gorin overseeing engineering, data, artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, and security. Thumu was previously at Fanatics for ten years where he most recently served as their Chief Product and Technology Officer. He will be starting in December.

Humanly

Humanly, a recruiting platform with a focus on conversational AI between candidates and hiring teams, welcomes Tara Mitchell as their new Vice President of Sales. Mitchell joins from Fountain, where she was an Associate Vice President of Sales for over four years. Humanly acquired Teamable, a similar company offering automated recruiting software, in May this year.
