Carter will stay on in an advisory capacity for at least 3 months, with an option to stay on until the end of the year.

As CFO, Osvaldik will oversee T-Mobile’s financial operations as the company integrates Sprint’s business and will be instrumental in delivering on the financial potential of the combined company.

Osvaldik initially joined T-Mobile in January 2016 as the company’s VP of External Reporting and Technical Accounting and was quickly promoted to SVP of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. Prior to T-Mobile, Osvaldik held leadership roles at Coinstar and PwC.

In a press release, T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert said, “As a Team Magenta executive officer and leader for nearly five years and with financial leadership roles at companies prior to T-Mobile, Peter has both a deep knowledge of T-Mobile and significant financial expertise that have made him a key contributor to the outstanding results we’ve seen over the last few years.”

In April 2020, T-Mobile completed its $30 billion merger with rival Sprint. The combined company plans to invest $40 billion into its network and business operations over the next three years.
