Akash Kulgod

Akash Kulgod is an experienced professional with a diverse background in canine olfaction research, animal healthcare advocacy, and youth development. Currently serving as Chief Canine Comrade at Dognosis, Kulgod focuses on enhancing human-canine communication through the development of an olfaction model. As a Cheerleader at both Soulmates Vet and Rajalakshmi Children Foundation, Kulgod amplifies efforts toward affordable healthcare for companion animals in India and fosters collaborations for under-resourced youth, respectively. Additional roles include Scholar-in-Residence at 1517 Fund, Startup Founder in the T-Hub Health-tech program, and Grantee at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Kulgod has held visiting researcher positions focused on canine EEG methodologies at institutions such as Medical Detection Dogs, Eötvös Loránd University, and Tech4Animals. An undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science was obtained from the University of California, Berkeley.
