Ryan Hays

Ryan Hays serves as the author of "Strategists First," a book aimed at innovators and entrepreneurs, contributing to thought leadership in strategic development. In a significant role at the University of Cincinnati since June 2011, Ryan holds positions as Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer, overseeing initiatives like the 1819 Innovation Hub and fostering economic development through various partnerships. Ryan has held numerous leadership positions, including Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff in the Office of the President, Interim Director of Athletics, and Vice Provost for Faculty Development. Additionally, Ryan is active on several boards, including the Cincinnati Regional Business Committee and REDI Cincinnati. Ryan's academic credentials include a PhD in Psychoanalytic Studies from Emory University and a Bachelor's degree from DePauw University.
