Joel Hornstein

Joel Hornstein is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Structural Management, a firm specializing in the management and administration of unique financial vehicles such as charitable remainder trusts and private placement life insurance. With a diverse background in financial services and technology, Joel has held various roles including Director and Seed Investor in multiple startups, such as Ardeo Education Solutions and AutoFi, since 2005. Additionally, Joel is a Founding Member and Investment Committee Member at 3i, and serves as a Director at Smartleaf. Previously, Joel founded DreamFund, a platform designed to enhance small business lending in low and moderate income communities, and co-founded ApplePie Capital, a franchisee funding platform. Joel’s experience also includes significant roles at Citigroup as Managing Director and at McKinsey & Company as an Associate. An accomplished veteran of the United States Army Reserve, Joel holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University.
