Bill Brown

Bill Brown is the founder and advisor of 8 Rivers Capital. Bill was previously a senior lecturer at Duke University from July 2021 to May 2022. Brown was also an Energy Innovation Fellow at Duke University from July 2013 to July 2014, where they supported the Duke University Energy Initiative. In addition, they were a professor of the practice of law at Duke University from July 2008 to June 2013, teaching courses on business law, business planning, capital markets and corporate finance. Brown is also a member of the board of advisors for Thor Launch Systems and co-founder of NET Power.

Bill Brown's educational career includes a BS in Biology and Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a JD in Law from Duke University School of Law. Bill is certified by the American Arbitration Association as an Arbitrator, and by the New York State Supreme Court as an Attorney.
