Tamia Retief

Tamia Retief is a dedicated Junior Copywriter at ninety9cents since August 2023, with prior experience as a Copywriter at Point A Marketing and as a Journalist at News24 South Africa and Daily Maverick. Tamia held the position of Deputy News Editor at MatieMedia, which has been rebranded to SMF News, and served as Managing Editor at Stellenbosch Media Forum, also undergoing rebranding from LIP Newspaper. Initial experience includes a role as a Production Assistant at LIP Newspaper and a Student Library Assistant at the University of Cape Town. Tamia is currently pursuing a BA Honours in Journalism, Communication, and Related Programs at Stellenbosch University, having previously earned a Bachelor of Social Science at the University of Cape Town and a National Senior Certificate from Good Hope Seminary Girl’s High School.
