Peter Dyrud

Peter Dyrud is a highly experienced Combat Rescue Officer in the United States Air Force, currently serving as Commander of the 351st Special Warfare Training Squadron. Dyrud's responsibilities include executing combat search and rescue operations and managing personnel recovery at strategic levels. Additionally, Dyrud is active on several advisory boards, including the A Safe Haven Foundation and the Council on Foreign Relations. An accomplished academic, Dyrud earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy/International Relations from Harvard University, focusing on deterrence in transnational kidnapping. Previous leadership roles include serving as President of the Harvard Graduate Council and Vice Chairman of Wayfarer Christian Center, emphasizing community service and organizational restructuring. Educational credentials also include an AM in Statistics and an MPP in International Security and Political Economy from Harvard institutions.
