Laura McGann

Laura McGann is an experienced documentary filmmaker and director with a notable track record in the industry. Currently, Laura serves as a Documentary Filmmaker at A24 and a Director at Ventureland since March 2020. Previously, Laura worked as a Documentary Director at True Films from December 2014 to October 2022, where a Roller Derby feature documentary received support from the Irish Film Board. Other significant roles include Shooting Director at Crackit Productions, overseeing a 20-part series for Sky One, and serving as a Documentary Director for a three-part series with Motive Television plc and RTE. Laura has also contributed to National Geographic Channel as a Director of Photography and engaged in development work for C4's First Cut. Laura holds a Master’s Degree in Documentary and a Bachelor's Degree in Film from Liverpool Hope University.
