Floris van der Marel

Floris van der Marel possesses extensive experience in education and research, currently serving as faculty at Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development and as an educator and researcher under their own name. Their roles include researcher and educator at Aalto Design Factory and visiting researcher at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Floris has also contributed as a doctoral researcher at Swinburne University of Technology and facilitated design thinking at NHL Stenden, where Floris was involved in the Frisian Design Factory. Previous roles include design researcher for inclusive design at Singapore University of Technology and Design, and project staff at Delft University of Technology focused on sustainable consumption behavior in Vietnam. Floris is pursuing dual doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Design, building on a solid foundation of industrial design engineering education.
