Nivedita Mohanty

Nivedita Mohanty, MD, MS, currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Child Health Finance and Quality at the American Academy of Pediatrics since August 2024. Nivedita has extensive experience as a Pediatrician at Erie Family Health Center and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, both since July 2007, and holds a position as Clinical Associate Professor at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. Prior roles include Chief Health Impact Officer, Chief Research Officer, and Director of Evidence Based Practice at AllianceChicago from September 2015 to August 2024, as well as serving as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the National Science Foundation from September 2014 to August 2015. Nivedita earned a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety from Northwestern University in 2023, holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Mercer University School of Medicine, and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and World Religions from Wesleyan College.
