Tammy Hurley

Tammy Hurley has extensive experience in child welfare and health initiatives, currently serving as the Director of Child Welfare, Trauma & Resilience Initiatives at the American Academy of Pediatrics since February 1996. Previous roles at the same organization include Senior Manager of Child Welfare, Trauma and Resilience Initiatives, Senior Manager for Children with Special Health Needs Initiatives, and Manager of Child Abuse and Neglect. Additionally, Tammy worked as a Mathematics Teacher at Richards High School from August 2004 to June 2005, where responsibilities included teaching algebra, geometry, and algebra II to high school students. Tammy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Illinois State University, earned between 1987 and 1991.
