Dan Briceland

Dan Briceland is a seasoned ophthalmologist with extensive experience in leadership roles within the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 2003, currently serving as President. Briceland has held various titles at the AAO including Senior Secretary for Advocacy and Secretary for State Affairs. Briceland is also the MD and Ophthalmologist at Briceland Enterprises since 1989 and previously chaired the Board of Directors at OMIC from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, Briceland served as Medical Director at Spectra Eye Institute from 2000 to 2018. Educational credentials include an MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and a B.S. in Pre-Professional Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
