Magdalena Palac-Afana

Magdalena Palac-Afana is an experienced HR professional, currently serving as HR Director for AB World Foods Ltd since February 2021, overseeing Human Resources and Payroll for the manufacturing site in Nowa Sól and the Commercial Europe Hub in Warsaw. Previously, Magdalena held the position of People Director for Central Eastern Europe and Russia at JUUL Labs, where significant contributions were made to the company's expansion and HR operations in the region. As Group HR Director at CEDC, Magdalena played a pivotal role in transforming the company into a market leader in the alcohol sector in Poland. Prior experience includes serving as Human Resources Director at British Sugar, where strategic initiatives were implemented to enhance company valuation prior to a takeover, and leading the Human Resources Department at PZ Cussons, establishing a modern HR function in a previously socialist environment. Magdalena holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and an MBA in Economics with a focus on HR management from the University of Warsaw.
