Sean Ross

Sean Ross is a Senior Scientist II at AbbVie since July 2021, specializing as a process chemist in the discovery support group and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop processes for preclinical and clinical studies. Previously, Sean worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Utah from December 2017 to June 2021, focusing on the palladium-catalyzed redox relay Heck reaction, computational chemistry, and data science applications in organic reaction mechanisms. Sean's earlier experience includes serving as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota from August 2011 to December 2017 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Nevada Reno from June 2008 to June 2011. Sean holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and has a strong academic background in organic chemistry, including a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science from the same institution.
