Antonia van Rijt

Antonia van Rijt is a Junior Engineer at VoxCell BioInnovation since April 2023, with prior experience as an Instrumentation Engineering Co-op at Precision NanoSystems Inc. from September 2021 to April 2022. During time at UVic Biomedical Engineering Design Team, Antonia served as Materials Science Executive Lead, where contributions included modifying 3D printers for orthopaedics research, establishing a materials research team, pioneering a wet lab amid COVID protocols, and securing significant funding. Antonia's background also includes development of a noninvasive breast cancer imaging system and work as a Research and Development Assistant at 4M Biotech, testing a smart wound dressing characterized by innovative pH sensor technology. An early role as a Marketing and Research Assistant at iData Research involved conducting medical device market analyses and enhancing report databases. Antonia holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Victoria, earned in 2022.
