Elona Baum

As a venture capitalist, independent board director, and a former executive in biotech and regenerative medicine, Elona Baum’s experience within healthcare technologies provides unparalleled insight to the Abilitech Medical board.

Elona has more than 20 years experience in the drug development sector at both Genentech and California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), as well as having held leadership roles in business development, legal, and regulatory. Elona currently serves as the Managing Director of DEFTA Partners, focusing on early-stage investment in innovative therapeutic and digital health technologies. Elona has a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
