Huzefa Ammiwala

Huzefa Ammiwala is an experienced data scientist currently working at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. since July 2019, specializing in preparing data for credit risk modeling with an emphasis on cashflow and collateral data. Previously, Huzefa held roles as a cloud engineer at Authic Labs and as a junior big data engineer at Xomnia, where training in Spark, Databricks, Scala, Python, and Azure was completed. Huzefa also has research experience from Technische Universiteit Delft, focusing on coupled well-reservoir models for pressure transient analysis. As a co-founder of Beta Education Group, Huzefa aimed to bridge the gap between Beta-related sciences and high school education. Early career experiences include tutoring pre-university students, working in customer service roles, and ensuring safety at events at the Amsterdam ArenA. Huzefa holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Earth Sciences from Delft University of Technology, along with a minor in Computational Sciences from the University of Amsterdam.
