Debra Somberg has a diverse and extensive career spanning multiple leadership roles in various industries. Currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors at BECU, the largest community-based credit union in the United States, Somberg has also been a board member at Port Blakely Companies and Absher Construction Company. As the founder of NewView, a non-profit organization focusing on innovative business models for social issues, Somberg emphasizes tri-sector engagement. Previously, Somberg served as Managing Partner at both Sovern Group and Maveron LLC, and held significant positions at Thomas Weisel Partners and Montgomery Securities. Somberg's educational background includes an A.B. in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
