Ron Halliwell

Ron Halliwell is an experienced ASIC Engineering Technical Leader at Acacia Communications, part of Cisco, since April 2023, specializing in ASIC Physical Design. Prior to this role, Ron held various positions at Synopsys Inc from June 2004 to April 2023, including Senior Staff SoC Design Engineer, providing ASIC physical design consulting services and expertise in RTL-to-GDSII design flows. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Physical Design Engineer at Sandburst, Senior ASIC Engineer at Avici Systems, and ASIC Technology/Hardware CAE Engineer at Fujitsu. Ron began the engineering career as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer at Yankee Atomic Electric Company and Electric Boat. Ron holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University, earned between 1989 and 1993.
