Nishaad Balachandran

Nishaad Balachandran is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the education investment sector. Nishaad has served as Principal at Avathon Capital since December 2019, following a tenure as Senior Associate at Sterling Partners where Nishaad contributed to launching the Education Opportunity Fund. Nishaad also holds board positions at Academic Programs International and Summit Professional Education, and serves as a Board Observer for ReUp Education, EdCast, and Amerigo Education. Prior to these roles, Nishaad worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Raymond James Financial, managing various M&A and capital markets transactions. Nishaad earned an Honors Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on International Business from Saint Louis University in 2014.
