Colleen Lawler - Leader and Influencer

Colleen Lawler serves as the Executive Director and CEO of the Academy of General Dentistry since March 2021, previously held similar leadership roles as Executive Director and CEO at the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists from August 2016 to August 2020. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Business Operations and Strategy at the American Medical Association from November 2007 to June 2016 and as Director of Membership and Chapter Relations at the American Academy of Family Physicians from 1997 to 2007. Colleen also held the role of Director of Commercial and Investment Real Estate at the National Association of Realtors from January 1990 to January 1997. Educational credentials include a BBA in Business Administration and Management from Robert Morris University - Illinois and completion of the Institute of Organization Management program at the University of Notre Dame, focused on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management.
