Gemma Sainsbury

Gemma Sainsbury serves as General Counsel for UK & Ireland at AccorInvest since October 2017, providing legal expertise and strategic advice to the board for a portfolio that includes nearly 900 hotels, with 90 located in the UK & Ireland. Prior to this role, Gemma was Senior Legal Counsel at CMS UK from February 2008 to September 2017, focusing on significant transactions in the hotels and leisure sector as well as notable private equity deals. Gemma began legal training as a Trainee Solicitor across various departments and also completed a secondment as Associate in Legal & Risk Management at LDC. Gemma holds an LLB from King's College London and a LPC from the College of Law.
