Kent Cherny

Kent Cherny is a seasoned finance and operations professional with extensive experience in public administration and budget management. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor in Affiliate Finance Operations at the ACLU since December 2019, Kent collaborates with nationwide affiliates on finance, compliance, and governance projects. Prior to this, Kent worked at the New York City Mayor's Office of Management and Budget, where roles included Associate Director and Assistant Director of the Health Task Force, overseeing significant budgets for health services and Medicaid. Kent's early career includes positions at organizations such as New York Magazine and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, with a strong educational background in public policy analysis and economics from New York University and The Ohio State University.
