Eakta Jain

Eakta Jain is a seasoned professional in the field of computer graphics and interactive techniques, currently serving as the Director of ACM SIGGRAPH since September 2022. Eakta has held a faculty position at the University of Florida, progressing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in the Computer/Information Sciences & Engineering Department since February 2014. Previously, Eakta worked at Texas Instruments as a Member of Technical Staff in Embedded Vision R&D and as a Systems Software Engineer, focusing on computer vision algorithms for augmented reality. Eakta's academic journey includes a PhD in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, along with significant research contributions as a Graduate Research Assistant. Additional experience includes lab associate roles at Disney Research and a summer internship at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Eakta holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
