Mona Kasra

Mona Kasra is an accomplished professional in the fields of digital media design and art, currently serving as Executive Committee Chair and Director-at-Large for ACM SIGGRAPH since September 2019. Kasra has also been a Board Member for the New Media Caucus since February 2021 and holds the position of Associate Professor of Digital Media Design at the University of Virginia since 2015. Previous roles include ACM SIGGRAPH 2016 Conference Chair and a member of the Board of Directors for the Video Association of Dallas, contributing to the promotion of video as a creative medium. Kasra's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication from The University of Texas at Dallas, an M.F.A. in Final Art-Video: Digital from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication/Graphic Design from Iran's University of Art.
