Poète Brasseur

Poète Brasseur serves as the artistic director at L'ACTE ESSENTIEL, where responsibilities include dramaturgy, staging, actor direction, production, and promotion of performances since May 2018. Brasseur has contributed as a poet and author in "Anthologie bilingue de la poésie créole haïtienne de 1986 à nos jours" with Actes Sud since September 2015. As an actor, Brasseur played the lead role in the feature film "Port-au-prince dimanche 4 janvier" and portrayed the Little Prince in a production of "Le Petit Prince" at Théâtre des Turbulences. Additional roles include acting in "Othello" and a personal creation at Lavoir Moderne Parisien. Brasseur directed the performance "Les Chemins de la liberté" for Biennale Ouidah 2022 and has also engaged in video and voice acting with ARS ANIMA. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree from Université Paris 8 and a theatrical studies certificate from Conservatoire Erik Satie.
