Farah Kabir

Farah Kabir is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in governance and disaster reduction. Currently serving as the Country Director for ActionAid Bangladesh since June 2007, Farah has also held the position of Chair of the Global Board for the Global Network for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) since their election in March 2015 in Sendai, Japan. Farah's leadership extends to a role as the Regional Representative for South Asia on the GNDR Global Board. Previous roles include positions as a Governance and Gender Adviser and Consultant for Participative Democracy with the British Council in both Bangladesh and the UK. Farah holds several degrees from the University of Dhaka, including a Master of Philosophy in Public Administration, and has a rich academic background in social sciences and humanities.
