Nate Weger

Nate Weger is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Calectra since May 2023, and an Activate Fellow at Berkeley Lab’s Cyclotron Road starting June 2024. Previously, Nate served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Limelight Steel in 2023 and worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley from August 2018 to November 2023, focusing on high-temperature energy systems and material design. Earlier experience includes teaching assistant roles at the University of Iowa, research at Universidade Federal de Itajubá, and an internship at Eaton, contributing to various engineering and quality control projects. Nate holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Iowa.
