Umar Khan

Umar Khan has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on risk management, credit card marketing, and client relationship management. Currently serving as a Lead at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank since October 2010, Umar previously held various senior positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland, including Vice President of Risk Management (Collections), where responsibilities included managing delinquent credit card and loan portfolios to minimize losses. As Head of Direct Sales, Umar revitalized the sales channel for credit cards, and as Head of Portfolio Management, developed strategies to enhance portfolio performance. Early career experiences at Deutsche Bank AG and American Express Bank involved client management and relationship building within the financial sector. Umar holds a BA in Accounting and Mathematics from De Montfort University.
