Jon Alessandro

Jon Alessandro is a highly experienced professional in the field of battery engineering and program management, currently serving as the Director of Programs and Engineering at Addionics since May 2024. Prior to this role, Jon held the position of Senior Manager of Engineering Programs at Our Next Energy (ONE), where responsibilities included managing research and customer programs related to cell materials and battery design for tier 1 automotive clients. As a founding member and Engineering Manager at Sepion Technologies, Jon led the development of lithium metal batteries, emphasizing safety and range for electric vehicles. Jon's extensive background includes applied research at Berkeley Lab, roles as a Fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, and an Applied Research Fellow at Activate, focusing on clean technologies and fundraising. Earlier experiences include positions at Natron Energy, Infinium Inc., and A123 Systems, driving advancements in battery technologies and manufacturing processes. Jon Alessandro earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and participated as an exchange student at DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
