Kalpit Thakkar

Kalpit Thakkar is a Deep Learning Researcher at Rephrase.ai since February 2023, having previously served as a Senior Data Scientist at ShareChat from November 2021 to January 2023, where a system for searching fashion items in videos was developed. Prior experience includes working as an ML Research Engineer at LeapMind, Inc., focusing on object detection and semantic segmentation, and serving as a Research Assistant at Brown University under Prof. Thomas Serre. Kalpit also held positions at IIIT Hyderabad as a Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Undergraduate Research Assistant, contributing to research and educational initiatives. Additionally, Kalpit participated in Google Code-in as a mentor and completed a Google Summer of Code project with BRL-CAD, developing high-level APIs for solid object primitives.
