Jaewon Kim is an accomplished SoC Architect with extensive experience in GPU performance analysis and memory performance. Currently serving at AMD since 2019, Jaewon specializes in GPU performance and GDDR6 memory. Prior to this role, Jaewon held positions at LG Electronics from 2013 to 2019 as both SoC Architect & Manager, focusing on neural network processor architecture and mobile AP specifications. Previous experience includes a GPU Architect role at Qualcomm, a Mobile SoC Architect position at NVIDIA, and hardware engineering roles at Woodside Network and Desana Network. Jaewon began a career in software engineering at companies such as Synopsys and Quickturn Systems. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University.
