Shae Jolly is a Battery Lab Technician at Advano where she processes the silicon-containing active material into coated copper anodes. Shae brings 3+ years of lithium-ion battery research experience.
Prior to Advano, Shae served as graduate researcher under Dr. Michael Naguib at Tulane University.
She completed her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Tulane University and graduated with a Master of Science in materials science and engineering in the spring of 2021. During her studies, she worked with Dr. Michael Naguib to complete two projects on MAX phases and MXenes for energy storage applications. The first project was published as ‘Synthesis of Ti3C2Tz MXene from low-cost and environmentally friendly precursors’ in Materials Today Advances in July 2021. Shae has a personal interest in the equity of scientific innovation, the impact of technological advancement on human nature, and scientific sustainability.
