Alex Smith

Alex Smith is a seasoned professional in engineering and technology with extensive experience in battery systems and renewable energy solutions. Currently serving as a Solutions Architect at ADVANTICS and the Owner of SkunkWorx LLC, Alex has a strong entrepreneurial background, having co-founded Moxion Power Co. and developed the first all-electric mobile power unit. Previous roles include Sr. Engineering Manager at NIO, where Alex was instrumental in battery system advancements, and Engineering Manager at LG Chem Power, leading the design of the Ram 1500 eTorque battery system. With effective contributions to a variety of projects, including electric buses and high-performance battery systems for diverse applications, Alex possesses a robust educational foundation with degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and experience at Y Combinator.
