Sophie Janssen

Sophie Janssen is an experienced regulatory and compliance professional currently serving as an Interim Senior Regulatory Consultant at Aegon Asset Management since December 2024. Prior to this role, Sophie held the position of Sr. Compliance Officer and MLRO-RC Luxembourg at Robeco from May 2020 to December 2024. Sophie’s extensive career began at Autoriteit Financiële Markten, where responsibilities included Manager of the Legal Department, Senior Legal Counsel, Jurist, and Medewerker Toezicht Informatieverstrekking over a period spanning from December 2006 to May 2020. Additionally, Sophie contributed to the Pensioenfonds AFM as a member of the Verantwoordingsorgaan from January 2014 to May 2020 and worked at Rabobank Nederland in various capacities from December 2003 to November 2006. Educational achievements include a postgraduate programme in Financial Law from Grotius Academy - Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen in 2009 and a Master’s degree in Law from Tilburg University from 1998 to 2003.
