Niels van Antwerpen

Niels van Antwerpen is a seasoned professional in the aviation industry, currently serving as Vice President Leasing EMEA and Vice President Legal at AerCap since June 2010. Niels oversees the EMEA business, focusing on leasing, financing, and risk management activities. Previously, Niels held the position of Corporate Legal Counsel at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from 2001 to June 2010, where responsibilities included commercial law, litigation, aircraft and engine finance transactions, air passenger rights, aviation law and policy, as well as liability and insurance matters. Niels holds a PhD and an LLM Advanced degree in International Air- and Space Law from Leiden University, and a Master of Laws in civil law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
