Emil Askestad

Emil Askestad is an experienced professional with a diverse background in analysis, statistics, and economics. Currently serving as an Analyst and Statistician at AFA Försäkring since October 2020, Emil processes and analyzes internal claims data to generate reports on occupational injuries and illnesses in the Swedish labor market. Emil has also been a Federation Referee for the Swedish Handball Federation since August 2018, officiating at the national level. Prior experience includes roles as an Economist and Case Officer at Sveriges Riksbank from November 2016 to October 2020, where Emil contributed to monetary policy forecasts and ensured the accuracy of financial data.
