Bernie Gray

Bernie Gray is a seasoned machine learning engineer currently serving as Machine Learning Engineer II at Affirm since June 2024. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Guru from September 2019 to May 2024, where Bernie held roles ranging from Senior Machine Learning Engineer to Data Scientist III and II. Earlier roles include Data Scientist at ISM Connect and Red-Spark.com, as well as Senior Data Scientist and Associate Analyst at 84.51˚. Bernie started a professional journey as a Teaching Assistant in Applied & Computational Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Notre Dame after completing a Master's degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics. Further education includes another Master's in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame. Bernie's academic foundations were laid at St. Joseph's Prep, where completion of high school diploma occurred.
