Peter Stebbings

Peter Stebbings is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in sports and news reporting. Currently serving as Asia-Pacific Sports Coordinator at Agence France-Presse (AFP) since June 2016, Peter directs, edits, and writes sports content across the region. Previously, Peter held the position of China Sports & Lifestyle Correspondent, being the sole accredited Western sports journalist in China, and has experience as a sports desk editor. Peter's career at AFP began in August 2007, where Peter worked as an editor covering news from the Americas and Asia-Pacific until May 2016. Before joining AFP, Peter was a reporter at the Daily Mail and served as chief reporter for Times Group newspapers. Educational credentials include a degree in International Studies and Russian from the University of Leeds and studies in Russian Language and Literature at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
