Cesar Fernandes

Cesar Fernandes is an experienced mining professional with a robust background in both underground and open-pit mining operations. Currently serving as General Superintendent at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited since October 2020, Cesar oversees all mining activities and the Technical Services team, focusing on engineering and geology. Prior experience includes roles such as Mine Operations Manager for Trafigura - Nyrstar at Myra Falls Mine and Underground Mine Manager with Glencore at Mufulira Mine, where significant achievements in polymetallic and copper mining were realized. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Imperial College Business School and a BEng (Hon) in Mining Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter.
