Jerome Besnier

Jerome Besnier is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the mining and consulting industries. Currently serving as General Manager at Alfred H Knight DRC since July 2022, Jerome oversees operations across more than 30 mining sites. Prior to this role, Jerome worked at Freeport-McMoRan as Exploration Business Manager for Africa, where expertise in identifying mineral exploration opportunities in the Copperbelt area was demonstrated, along with serving as Board Director for Phelps Dodge Mining Zambia Ltd. As General Manager of Phelps Dodge Congo, Jerome managed the Kisanfu Copper and Cobalt Exploration Project, supervising a workforce of 200. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Business Analyst at Nestle Waters and consulting positions at Klee Group and Umanis. Jerome holds multiple degrees in management and business administration, including a Master of Science in Management of Small and Medium Enterprises from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
