Avner Vilan

Avner Vilan is a seasoned executive with a robust background in technology and strategic operations. Currently serving as Chief of Staff and VP Strategic Operations at AI21 Labs since July 2024, Avner also holds advisory roles at MazeBolt Technologies, contributing to company strategy and risk management. As a co-founder and former CEO of Arti.AR from August 2019 to July 2024, Avner played a pivotal role in transitioning the firm into a self-serve AR platform, enhancing storytelling through augmented reality. Prior experience includes key leadership positions at the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel, managing program and product teams, alongside military service as a leader in the elite Talpiot Program and Unit 81 of the Israeli Defense Forces. Avner holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
