Marcel Malan

Marcel Malan serves as the Senior Vice President of Group IT Operations and General Manager at AIA Information Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd since April 2018, overseeing AIA's Group-wide IT infrastructure and core applications with a strong emphasis on enhancing cyber security and technology continuity. Previously, Marcel held various leadership positions at British American Tobacco from 2006 to April 2018, culminating as Global Head of Enterprise Technology Services, where accountability included managing a £50m budget and achieving significant cost savings through cloud-based technologies. Marcel's extensive career also involved key roles in network and security operations, data center management, and IT services across different regions. Education includes an Executive Leadership Development Program and studies in Organizational Leadership at the University of Pretoria.
