Nicholas Schaefer

Nicholas Schaefer is currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at AIG since April 2023. Prior to this role, Nicholas held the position of Senior Counsel in the Labor & Employment Division at the New York City Law Department from July 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included handling employment law suits against the City of New York. Nicholas has also worked as an Associate at Kennedys and Wade Clark Mulcahy, and as a Litigation Associate at Haworth Coleman & Gerstman, LLC. Early career experience includes serving as Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Tort Division at the New York City Law Department. Nicholas holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Emory University.
