Nuwan Perera

Nuwan Perera currently serves as the Director of Data Products Delivery at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), where leadership is provided to a team of developers focused on creating data products for investment management utilizing a modern data stack. Previously, Nuwan held the position of Data & AI Lead at OMERS Ventures, overseeing developer tools, data, and AI, and successfully built a contemporary data platform while implementing Generative AI tools. Prior experience includes being a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at OMERS, where enterprise MLOps and ML engineering strategies were developed, and earlier roles at integrate.ai, EY, and Black & McDonald Limited involved software engineering and data science initiatives. Nuwan holds both a Bachelor of Computing Honours and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Queen's University.
