Steve Hooper

Steve has held executive positions in telecommunications since the inception of the wireless industry. As vice chairman of Nextlink Communications, he was responsible for developing strategic business opportunities. Prior to joining Nextlink, he was co-CEO of Teledesic, a global broadband satellite venture initiated by Craig McCaw and Bill Gates. Steve also held senior management positions at McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc. and AT&T Wireless Services, including CEO at AT&T Wireless from 1994 to 1997. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and serves on the boards of Nextlink and Teledesic.
