Ben Schwab

Ben Schwab is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in Android development. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Airbnb since November 2016, Ben leads cross-organizational efforts to modularize and enhance the Airbnb Android code base. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Coursera, where Ben significantly improved app load times and contributed to infrastructure growth. Ben co-founded SMSmart, an innovative app that allows smartphone usage without data, gaining recognition in various tech publications. Additional experience encompasses software engineering internships at Microsoft and Coursera, as well as a research software development role at Duke University, where Ben worked on advanced image processing techniques. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Duke University.
