Nils Pommerien

Nils Pommerien is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in site reliability engineering and platform engineering. Currently serving as the Director of SRE at Airbnb, Nils has successfully chartered the SRE organization and enhanced incident management. Previously, as VP of Platform Engineering at Gemini, leadership encompassed a $30M+ infrastructure budget and a team of 70 engineers. At Netflix, Nils directed Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, supporting a vast customer base, and at Google, managed a $100M cloud budget for Nest. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Seagate Technology, Roku, and Avid Technology. Nils holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Hochschule Osnabrück.
