Byron Smith

Byron Smith serves as Managing Director at Mountain Group Partners since 2009, overseeing Venture Capital investments across multiple sectors including Life Sciences and Healthcare Services. Since 2013, Byron has been a member of the Board of Directors at Silicon Ranch Corporation, contributing to one of the largest independent power producers in the U.S. Additionally, Byron holds board positions at several organizations including Airvet, AngelEye Health, Verility, Inc., In the Bowl Animal Health, and ReVIDA Recovery Centers, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation in healthcare and animal health. Byron's previous board roles include Preferral and Lost Valley Ranch, along with experience with the AgTech Accelerator. Educational achievements include an MBA in Strategic Planning and Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Political Science and Economics from Middle Tennessee State University.
